My first project with Stampin Up! "My Digital Studio"

Well I thought I would give the My Digital Studio a try since I needed more photo Christmas cards. This one was easy peasy and is a 6X6 square and it only took me 10 minutes to put together. Now all I have to do is take it to a photo place and have them print them.

The My Digital Studio has tons of options for creating projects like cards, layout pages, albums and calendars. Contact me if you would like more information about purchasing and using the My Digital Studio or if you have a photo editing program like Photoshop how you can purchase Stampin Up downloads to add to your digital collection. The options are endless.

A Christmas card and DVD tin album

I saw this somewhere on the web quite some time ago and cannot remember the source...I just loved the idea and the simplicity of this card.

Also, I did a DVD tin album class out at a friend's house in Wheatley and we had a great time and Kristy made the best Sunday brunch ever. Here is the tin......

Oh my gosh.....can't believe I have not posted since September.

I am so surprised that it was September 27th since the last time that I posted on my blog....yikes..I have been just so busy with everything. I have a couple of projects that I need to download. Hopefully, I will get to it tonight.

My how time flies...I remember the day, I mean moment that my son Jacob was born and now already, 8 years have passed. He has brought joy to our lives and he makes us proud each and every day. We celebrated his birthday by inviting his friends to a party at my office in the gymnasium. They played soccer, had snacks, had a silly string fight and played out in the playground. It was an action packed 2 hours. HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY JACOB!!!!

A bit about my layout.....I created this layout with a favorite song of mine in mind...Apple of your Daddy's eye by Peter Cetera. I loved the lyrics and they so fit with my husband and eldest son Jacob's relationship that's why I added the title as my page title and included the lyrics as journalling on my page. Give it a try and use your favorite song on your next layout!!!!
Thanks for looking!!!!

Stampin Up's Last Chance list....

Will be posted tomorrow, June 1....stay tuned!!!

Just a few projects to post before the day gets away.

I completed a little project kit that Rebecca Kalp shared with us at the Power of Youth Crop last Saturday. I so love the Cheep Talk set and the matching Designer paper and Sizzix matchbox die. This was simple to put together and I love how they turned out.

So while I was playing with birds I decided that I wanted to ink up my Trendy Trees stamp set and use an untraditional colour combination; Pacific Point, Real Red, Summer Sun, black and white. I used the Cheep Talk Designer paper and pulled out my mat and template for piercing perfect holes. I had fun making this card.

A few card samples.........

Wowzers...I haven't been on here to post in quite some time...not to say that I have not been a busy girl!!!!

Well I went to Younique Country retreat in Guelph in April and then went to the Mega Meet in Novi in May. I have picked up some new yummy product but just need the time to play.

I have had a chance to make some cards, work on a make and take for a fundraiser crop and organize my scrap space a bit.

Here are a few cards....let me know what you think!!!

Don't you just love the Ketto stamps from Stamping Bella??? I picked them up at the Paper Pickle in Chatham as well as the Urban Prairie Paper from Basic Grey. These stamps are darling and you should go into the store to see them all......I am sure you will want them ALL too!!!

Same image but just tweaked a bit....a different mat and embellies.

This card I created for a SWAP at the Paper Passion. It was 5 People 5 Product swap. The host sent 5 of us envies that had 5 products in them and we had to make a creation using the product. This is what I came up with using stamps from All that Scraps.

It's my birthday today!!!!

Well, today is my 36th birthday and I don't feel a day over 20. It has been a really great birthday..yesterday Kyle cleaned the house and cooked dinner for my family and my in-laws and made me a birthday cake with the help of the boys.
Today was great because I did not have to go to work and was able to spend the day with Kaden. The boys made me each a card and when I woke up this morning this beautiful springy bouquet was on the table with a beautiful card from Kyle. It went so well with the warm weather we had too.

Kyle and I also had a chance to get out to dinner together and it was very nice to be able to have a complete conversation with no interuptions. Dinner was fabulous too.

I also was able to get in some scrappy time that I used to organize some things and finish up this DVD tin mini album that I will be giving my grandmother with pictures we had done before Christmas.

This is the cover

and this is the inside. I used all Stampin Up products. I really love how this turned out. Thanks Jackie!!!!

Thanks for looking!!!!

Just a quick post with a couple of cards I made this weekend

Just a couple of cards that I made this weekend for some challenges at the Virtual Stamp Night at Splitcoast Stampers. The first card was my take on a challenge that had us using an older stamp and older product that we had stashed away. So I used the mice stamp and some Doodlebug paper. The second challenge was to create a card with "inchies". Ever heard of this term? We had to use (3)1x1 inch squares or circles with stamps on our card. This was my take on it. Thanks for looking.

Homemade cards

I have been meaning to post a picture of the homemade cards that I received over Christmas. Better late than never.
I love how my friend Sheri used the SU Top Note die and bird stamp. The blue card was from the Paper Pickle a LSS and they had put a free stamp rental coupon inside. I look forward to this one every year. Thanks girls.

Monday, January 19, 2009

OK....I think things happen in 3s!

I got a couple of blog and phone messages to tell me that I had won another scrappy draw at the Paper Pickle in Chatham (a local scrapbook store). I actually won the Stamper's Surprise...so I didn't know what was in the box as the prize. If you look below you will be in awe at what I actually won......awesome prize Kim and Kell and I will try to be in to pick it up tomorrow. Thanks again.

Sunday, January 18, 2009

I wanted to brag....

I actually won a COUPLE of blog draws this week. When it rains it pours.

First, I won some goodies from Juliana at CMK for guessing the right number of layouts in her picture that she had done but not yet put into albums...the lucky number was 154. Thanks again Juliana that was very generous of you. She is sending this yummy chocolaty chipboard album.
And for my second prize, I commented on Tara (thynner's) blog and her lovely daughter picked my name to win a very yummy Art Freckles paper kit. Can't wait to see it in real life.

Thanks again Juliana and Tara...you are both very sweet.

I have been busy this weekend....CREATING!!

I spent the weekend following an online crop at the Scrapping Bug. There was a word scramble game, guess the ribbon in the jar, winter bingo and lots of creative challenges and a make and take.
I completed the Card Sketch challenge by using my digidownload of a really cute cupid that I coloured with my Prismacolour pencils and yummy paper by My Minds Eye that I picked up at the Red Barn.

I also finished up a layout using the Week 3 CMK weekly sketch to do the Bright and Cheery challenge. I used almost all Scenic Route goodness.

And finally, this is what I created from Tara (thynner's) instructions for a Love Note make and take. Really simple but really cute!!!!
